Keynote Speaker: Pamela Wartian Smith, M.D., MPH, MS

Pamela Wartian Smith, M.D., MPH, MS spent her first twenty years of practice as an emergency room physician in a level 1 trauma center with the Detroit Medical Center and then 29-years as a Functional/Personalized Medicine specialist. She is an internationally known speaker and author. She also holds a master’s in public health degree along with a master’s degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine. Dr. Smith is in private practice and is the senior partner for The Center For Precision Medicine with offices in Michigan and Florida. She has been featured on CNN, PBS, and many other television networks, has been interviewed in numerous consumer magazines and has hosted two of her own radio shows. Dr. Smith was one of the featured physicians on the PBS series “The Embrace of Aging” as well as the on-line medical series “Awakening from Alzheimer’s” and “Regain Your Brain”. Dr. Pamela Smith is the co-director of the Personalized Medicine Certification at The Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida. She is the author of fourteen best-selling books. Her book: What You Must Know About Women’s Hormones, 2nd edition was released in 2022. Her book, Maximize Your Male Hormones, was released in 2023 and her book What You Must Know About Thyroid Disorders, 2nd edition, was released late last year. Her newest book, How to Prevent Breast Cancer: Before and After, is due out in January, 2025.

David Brownstein, MD

Dr. David Brownstein is a Board Certified family physician. He is one of the foremost practitioners of holistic medicine and is the Medical Director of the Center for Holistic Medicine in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Dr. Brownstein has lectured internationally to physicians and others about his success in using natural hormones and nutritional therapies in his practice. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Brownstein is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the International College of Integrative Medicine where he is a board member.

Cheryl Burdette, ND

Dr. Burdette is Director of Education at Progressive Medical Center which is one of the largest integrative clinics in the Southeast. She is the co-founder of Precision Point Diagnostics, a laboratory that focuses on gut-based health and wellness. There she designs clinical profiles and trains clinicians on their utilization. She has a rich history in the integrative medicine laboratory space. She designed and teaches the clinical curriculum for Origins Incubator, a practice management group, that has helped to launch many successful practitioners. She is the Educational Director and on the board of advisors for Xymogen, a physician line pharmaceutical. She is on the board of advisors for TheraDura Diagnostik, a German based lab company. She serves on IRB boards, is involved in study design and translational research, and has lectured extensively worldwide. She directs an accredited Naturopathic residency at Progressive. Her passion is teaching about the practice of Integrative and Naturopathic Medicine, to increase awareness of evidenced-based natural therapies, to both rule in and rule out tools that are effective in patient care.

Joshua Green, ND

Dr. Green earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Whole Foods Nutrition from Bastyr University in 2001 before completing his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine. During his clinical training, he focused on serving underserved communities, gaining extensive experience in the practical application of natural medicine to complex health conditions.

With advanced training in Traditional Naturopathic Medicine and Constitutional Hydrotherapy, Dr. Green also holds a certificate in Classical Homeopathy from the New England School of Homeopathy. While he provides primary care services, his practice primarily focuses on chronic illness, including Mold Toxin Illness and tick-borne infections such as Lyme Disease.

Michael Friedman, ND

Michael Stadtmauer, ND

Jillian Stansbury, ND

Jill Stansbury, ND, has practiced family medicine in Southwestern Washington State for over 30 years. She chaired the Botanical Medicine Department at the National University of Naturopathic Medicine for several decades, and has served as a guest professor at Bastyr University. Dr. Stansbury teaches widely at medical conferences throughout the US and Canada, has authored more than 150 scholarly papers, and published several books on herbal and natural medicine. She has a strong interest in ethnobotany and works with universities in Peru to develop clinical and research relationships for projects in botanical medicine. She leads trips to Cusco, Peru, and the Peruvian Amazon each August.
