Endocrinology

Overview

The Endocrinology Module consists of 8 hours of presentations. It includes the following Lessons: Thyroid Disorders (4 hours) & Adrenal Disorders (4 hours).

Thyroid Topics

4 hours total
The following presentations are recorded webinars which can be listened to at the convenience of the student and must be completed by a date TBD. The following 2 hours of presentations are required, and the student must pass the related quizzes with 75% or better:

  • Using Evidence Based Botanicals in the Treatment of Thyroid Disease and Related Hypo- and Hyperthyroid — 1 hour (Kevin Spelman PhD)
  • Overcoming Thyroid Disorders — 1 hour (David Brownstein, MD)

The following 1.5 hours of presentations are optional:

  • Iodine: Does it Cause/Worsen or Treat/Prevent Autoimmune Thyroid disorders? — 1.5 hour (David Brownstein, MD)

The remaining 2 hours of Thyroid Topics will be completed at the 2019 Annual Conference:

  • Restorative Medicine Herbs for Thyroid Disorders — 2 hours (Michael Friedman, ND)

Adrenal Topics

4 hours total
The following presentations are recorded webinars which can be listened to at the convenience of the student and must be completed prior to the 2019 Annual Restorative Medicine Conference, starting September 12, 2019. Students must complete the following recordings and pass the related quizzes with 75% or better:

  • Adaptogen Herbs for Strength Stamina and Stress Relief — 1 hour (David Winston, RH)
  • Optional: Herbs and Nutrition for Adrenals- 1.25 hours (Eugene Zampieron, ND)

The remaining 2 hours of Adrenal Topics will be completed at the 2019 Annual Restorative Medicine Conference:
